Widowhood in Kasarani often arrives with a quiet kind of isolation: fewer visitors, fewer invitations, and a household suddenly carrying responsibilities that used to be shared. Our first Widows' Support Circle was built specifically to push back against that isolation, one monthly gathering at a time.

The first session drew a modest but committed group, women who spent the morning talking through practical concerns, navigating school fees alone, managing a household budget, accessing support services, alongside simply having company for a few hours. No agenda was rigid; the conversation went where the group needed it to go.

We plan to hold the Circle monthly going forward, rotating between a few accessible venues in Kasarani. Alongside the group sessions, our volunteers continue individual home visits for widows who cannot attend in person, so no one is left out simply because they couldn't make it that day.
