On 9 March 2024, the Directorate of Social Development registered Agape Community Based Organization, Reg. No. DSD/47/280/02/5687, a couple of weeks after our founding members adopted the Constitution that still guides everything we do.
One year in, what began as a small founding group has built out several active areas of work: health and hygiene outreach, education and mentorship for young people, income-generating groups for women, and, closest to our founding purpose, direct support for widows, orphans, the elderly and persons with disability across Kasarani.
Our Constitution's vision line reads: a community where selfless love, compassion and dignity are extended to every individual and family, regardless of their circumstance. A year is a short time to claim much against a vision that large, but the households we've reached so far tell us the direction is right.
